Founder & Growth Strategist
Entrepreneur.
Growth Strategist.
Builder of Client
Acquisition Systems.
For more than 35 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of business, strategy, technology, and growth, building companies and systems designed to turn visibility, expertise, and relationships into measurable opportunity.
Founder, operator, and co-founder across digital marketing, advisory growth, AI, lead generation, and professional services.

I have always been focused on one thing: building better ways to grow.
My experience in the digital space began in 1994 while I was building and growing my own manufacturing company. At the time, the commercial Internet was still in its infancy, and businesses were only beginning to understand how websites and digital communication could influence visibility and growth.

I began experimenting with those emerging tools inside my own business, gaining firsthand experience in how technology could support marketing, sales, and business development.
That experience was practical from the beginning. I was not looking at digital strategy from the outside. I was using it as a business owner responsible for creating demand, developing opportunities, supporting sales, and finding better ways to grow the company I was building.
After successfully exiting that company in 2003, I began applying that experience to help other organizations build stronger digital strategies and generate new business opportunities.
What started with websites and early digital communication gradually expanded into search, performance marketing, lead generation, marketing automation, CRM systems, and more sophisticated client acquisition strategies.
Since then, the tools have changed dramatically, but the underlying challenge has remained surprisingly consistent: businesses need better ways to turn attention into opportunity, opportunity into relationships, and relationships into revenue.
That progression has shaped the way I work today. I tend to look beyond individual tactics and focus instead on how the pieces work together as a system.
The tools change. The discipline of turning attention into opportunity does not.
Growth should be structured, not left to chance.
Too many organizations invest in individual marketing tactics without building a connected system around them. A website, content, advertising, referrals, automation, and sales activity can all work independently and still fail to produce predictable growth.
Attract
Create visibility with the right audience.
Capture
Turn interest into identifiable opportunity.
Nurture
Build trust and relevance over time.
Convert
Create a structured path from interest to conversation and revenue.
The real value comes from connecting those activities into one disciplined system that can be measured, improved, and scaled.

I Understand the Owner Side of the Conversation
Before I began helping other organizations with digital strategy and growth, I spent years building my own manufacturing company.
In 2003, I successfully exited that business.
The transaction was a business milestone, but like many owners discover, selling a company is not only a financial event. It also changes your role, your routines, your identity, and the way you think about what comes next.
That experience has stayed with me.
Today, as much of my work has moved into the advisory and exit planning space, I have a greater appreciation for the complexity of the conversations advisors are having with business owners. The technical aspects of an exit matter, but so do the personal questions that often surface before, during, and after a transition.
I have experienced some of those questions from the owner's side.
That perspective is part of what makes the work I am doing with advisory professionals especially meaningful to me.
A Career Shaped by Reinvention
My career has crossed several disciplines, from healthcare and manufacturing to digital strategy, entrepreneurship, technology, and client acquisition. Each transition added a different perspective to the way I think about business, growth, and solving complex problems.
- 1985
A Foundation in Science and Discipline
Graduated with honors from the University of Illinois Medical Center College of Pharmacy. My early professional training was grounded in science, analytical thinking, precision, and disciplined problem-solving, qualities that have continued to influence the way I approach business and strategy.
Professional Foundation
- 1990
From Pharmacy to Business Leadership
In 1990, I transitioned into running my family's manufacturing business, moving from a technical professional environment into the realities of operating and growing a company. That meant responsibility for much more than a single discipline. Product development, marketing, sales, operations, distribution, positioning, and growth all became part of the work.
From Professional to Operator
- 1994
Early Digital Adoption
My experience in the digital space began in 1994 while I was operating that manufacturing company. As the commercial Internet was beginning to emerge, I started exploring how websites, digital communication, and new online tools could support the growth of my own business. This was practical, operator-side experience, not a digital agency or client consulting.
Digital Experience Begins
- 2003
Successful Exit and a New Direction
After successfully exiting the manufacturing company in 2003, I began applying what I had learned to help other organizations build stronger digital strategies and generate new business opportunities. This was the transition from using digital inside my own company to helping other businesses with digital strategy and growth.

Digital Strategy & Performance Growth
After 2003, my work expanded from websites and digital presence into broader strategies around search visibility, lead generation, conversion, and measurable business growth. As digital channels matured, the focus became less about simply being online and more about building systems that could generate opportunity, improve performance, and demonstrate real business value.

From Marketing Activities to Connected Systems
Over time, I became increasingly focused on what happened between individual marketing activities. Websites, content, search, referrals, automation, CRM, nurturing, and sales could all work independently and still fail to produce predictable growth. The opportunity was in connecting those pieces into a more disciplined system, one that could be measured, improved, and scaled.
The Evolution Toward Growth Systems
- Today
Advisory Professional Growth
Today, much of my work is focused on long-cycle, relationship-driven professional services. Through Exit Funnels and InfusionOS, I am applying decades of experience in business, digital strategy, technology, lead generation, and client acquisition to help advisory professionals build more intentional and repeatable approaches to growth. That work brings together many of the ideas that have shaped my career: strategy, systems, relationships, technology, and the belief that sustainable growth should be structured rather than left to chance.
Where the Work is Focused Today
I learned growth from the operator’s seat.

My perspective on growth was shaped long before I began advising other organizations. After beginning my career in pharmacy, I transitioned into running my family’s manufacturing business in 1990.
Operating a business required me to think across disciplines. Product development, positioning, marketing, sales, distribution, operations, technology, and financial performance were not separate theoretical exercises. They were interconnected parts of building a company.
Beginning in 1994, I also started applying emerging digital tools inside that business, gaining firsthand experience with technology from the perspective of an owner responsible for producing results.
That experience ultimately culminated in a successful exit in 2003.
National Brand & Proprietary Product Growth
Earlier in my career, I also led proprietary product development and national brand growth initiatives in the consumer goods sector, with work featured in major industry and business media including Crain’s Chicago Business, Furniture Today, and The Golf Channel.
Before I advised businesses on growth, I had already experienced the responsibility of building one.
Experience built over time.
Professional experience across healthcare, business leadership, entrepreneurship, digital strategy, technology, and growth.
The beginning of my hands-on digital experience, applying emerging technologies inside my own business.
Successful business exit and transition into helping other organizations with digital strategy and growth.
Built and operated across digital marketing, advisory growth, AI, lead generation, recruiting, and specialized professional services.
A few things I believe.
Systems beat tactics.
Visibility is not opportunity.
Expertise needs distribution.
Technology should support relationships, not replace them.
Predictability comes from structure.
Good marketing should produce business outcomes, not just activity.

Why I am focused on advisory professionals.
Advisory professionals often have tremendous expertise and strong relationships but very little infrastructure around client acquisition.
Their businesses are frequently built around reputation, referrals, and personal networks. Those remain incredibly important, but they are difficult to scale without a system around them.
That gap between expertise and predictable opportunity is what led first to Exit Funnels and ultimately to the development of InfusionOS.
Today, much of my work is focused on helping advisory professionals create more structured ways to attract, nurture, develop, and convert the right client opportunities.
